2 weeks after bunionectomy

Lindsay went to the podiatrist today and we remembered to bring our camera. Her foot is healing well. She will get the pin out of her second toe next Tuesday.

Lindsay's Bunionectomy

Lindsay had a bunionectomy on Wednesday. Everything went well. She is not allowed to walk (except for bathroom) or shower until Tuesday.

More basement progress

Alright, we're to the grouting stage. I thought I would put up some picks so everyone could see how nice it looks.

Bailey's not feeling welll

(Update) Well, the prognosis is in. She basically has a stomach ache. The vet took an x-ray and discovered her intestines were a little inflamed. They gave her a shot and we have to give her special food and medicine twice a day. Thankfully it was nothing serious.

(Original Post) We're on our way to the vet with Bailey. She got sick this morning and hasn't been acting like her normal self so we have decided to take her in. She's our little baby and we have to make sure she is alright. We'll keep you posted.

Spider Man III or A total waste of time

Well, believe it or not, I actually went to the theater to see a movie last night. The girls picked Spider Man III but I wanted to see Knocked Up. To make a long story short, I didn't like it. Way to long, too far fetched and too melodramatic. No ones life has that many ups and downs, "I love you, I don't love you, I'm a super hero without direction in my life", bla bla bla. Give me a friggin break. Plus they introduced two new characters without any back story, and to top it all off, the butler (Bernard) conviently repairs the broken friendship between Harry and spidey just in time to save Mary Jane. Lindsay and I had more fun making fun of the movie than actually watching it. That's just my take. Everyone's a critic.

John got a new toy

It's an r.c. German Panzer Tank. It shoots bb sized plastic pellets. He is very excited.

After a hard days work...

Here we are waiting for pizza after a hard days work in the basement. One or two more long days and we should be done. :).

Louisville Live

Grout for basement

Went to Mees Tile and Marble today to get grout for the basement. If you live in louisville, check them out. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. The prices are good too.

Dreaded day of work

Today we are going to have a long hard day of work in the basement. I hope everyone else has a more enjoyable Saturday. The finished product will be worth it (that's what I keep telling myself).

New XBMC skin

Now I have the apple tv interface in a more capable device.

Organic test today

For those who care, I had an organic chem test today. I think it went well. Total of 50 questions and there was only one I wasn't sure of. We'll see

Basement Progress

Here you can see Nick's (macho man) handiwork

First he widened the crack

Next he filled it in

We hung new drywall

Then we painted. We should have replaced the floor first but we're still learning.

Chartreuse green (or as close as we could get) for Brandi

Buckram Binding for half of the main area

Bunglehouse Blue for the other half

Then we removed the floor. A process which involved scrapping off vinyl tile and then removing the adhesive by pouring lacquer remover on the floor and mopping it up. A painstaking process. Unfortunately some of the adhesive got on the bottom of the walls.

Now we are at the tile laying stage.
